Manual Press

A manual hydraulic press is used to apply high compressive force using hydraulic pressure. It operates on Pascal’s Law, where pressure applied to a confined fluid is transmitted equally in all directions, allowing a small input force to generate a large output force. The press consists of a rigid frame, hydraulic cylinder, hand pump, ram, pressure release valve, and adjustable work table. When the hand lever is pumped, hydraulic fluid is pressurized and moves the ram downward to act on the workpiece. Opening the release valve returns the ram to its initial position. Manual hydraulic presses are commonly used for pressing bearings, bending metal, assembling parts, and laboratory testing. They are simple, cost-effective, and do not require external power, though they operate slower than powered presses and are limited in force capacity.
